A rash of recent violence and chaotic behavior among youths in Prince George's County has prompted officials to take drastic measures. With the summer rapidly approaching, following months of discussion, officials announced that there will be a juvenile curfew at National Harbor, effective as of 5 p.m. on Friday, April 26. Thirty minutes was all it took to identify a Home Depot shoplifter, police in Stafford County said. The sheriff's office put out an attempt to ID flyer after $4,400 worth of items were stolen from the Worth Avenue Home Depot on Sunday, April 22. In a matter of minutes, citizens identified the suspect as Eliezer Diaz Hernandez, 41, of Alexandria, the sheriff's office said. Bomb Threat Clears Prince William County School (

A bomb threat was called into a Prince William County elementary school Thursday morning, April 25, police said. Authorities were on scene at T Clay Wood Elementary School in Nokesville as of 10:15 a.m. a report of a bomb threat to the school. No devices were located and the school was evacuated temporarily. A Stafford High School student has been charged in connection to a fight this week. The unnamed 18-year-old is wanted on a warrant for assault and battery in connection with the 1:20 p.m. incident on Tuesday, April 23, the county sheriff's office said. Body Found In Alexandria River
A man's body was found in an Alexandria river on Wednesday, April 24, police said. Officers were called to the 4100 block of Mount Vernon Avenue near Four Mile Park around 1:30 p.m., the Alexandria Police Department said. The adult male was pronounced dead at the scene and an autopsy is expected to determine the cause and manner of death. Earlier in the week, Alexandria police announced a suspicious death investigation on North Henry Street. They said only that an injured man was found at the scene and later pronounced dead.

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public's assistance as they attempt to track down a wanted man who allegedly shot a father and his 5-year-old daughter in Northeast DC overnight. DeAngelo Wayne McNeil Sentenced FOr Drug, Weapon Offenses
A District man has will serve more time behind bars after the repeat offender was sentenced for drug and weapon offenses near a Northeast DC high school. DeAngelo Wayne McNeil, 37, was sentenced to three years in prison for unlawfully possessing a firearm and, while near a school, possessing cocaine base with the intent to sell it, federal authorities announced.
