Darien Police: Norwalk Snow Plow Driver Damaged Fire Dept. Property DARIEN, Conn. -- A snow plow driver from Norwalk damaged a wooden guard rail at the Darien Fire Department last week, according to police. At around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday police responded to the Darien Fire Department on Post Road and met with a 29-year-old member. She told officers that Gregory Twardy, 49, of Norwalk had come earlier in the day with his pay loader to plow the snow in the rear lot of the fire department. Police: Suspect Used Counterfeit $100 Bills At Five Ridgefield Businesses UPDATED: RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Ridgefield Police are investigating five separate incidents of someone using counterfeit $100 bills in town last week. Police said that the counterfeit bills were passed at businesses located on Main Street, Governor Street, Bailey Avenue and Catoonah Street. All the incidents took place on Friday, Jan. 5 between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. In all five incidents, the suspect bought an item valued at $30 or less, and paid using a counterfeit $100 bill, police said. Wolfpit Elementary Has No Heat, Students Taken To Norwalk High For Classes Update: The district announced shortly after noon that the temperature in Wolfpit is back up and that students would be returning after having lunch at Norwalk High School. Students will complete the remainder of the day in their own classrooms and dismiss as usual. Westport Police: Dry Cleaner Employee Stole Money From Customer's Pants WESTPORT, Conn. -- A Bridgeport woman was charged this week with stealing money from a customer's pants at a Westport dry cleaner five years ago, police said. Police said that in July 2013, a customer at a local dry cleaner reported that he forgot his money clip containing cash, a license and credit cards in a pair of pants. Norwalk Driver Stopped In Westport Charged With Selling Pot WESTPORT, Conn. -- A 27-year-old Norwalk man was charged with selling marijuana in Westport after being pulled over for a busted tail light last week, according to police.
