NORWALK, Conn. -- Columbus Magnet School in Norwalk got the go-ahead to expand the number of grades it houses, according to a report by The Hour.

The K-5 Concord Street school, will now include three more levels, up to the eighth grade, The Hour reported.

The Board of Education recently approved a plan to cut kindergarten classes there to two from three to accommodate the change, and the number of students – about 350 – will remain the same, The Hour story said.
