NORWALK, Conn., -- A Westport man allegedly tried to get drugs by using forged prescriptions, Norwalk Police said.
Clyde Wauchope, 31, of 14 Hales Court was charged with three counts each of second-degree forgery, third-degree identity theft and attempting to obtain a controlled substance through forgery. His bond was set at $50,000, and his court date is Jan. 18.
Police said the investigation began Oct. 26 after a complaint from Norwalk Hospital involving an alleged fraudulent prescription. Police investigated and discovered two other incidents.
Wauchope turned himself in to police Tuesday afternoon after learning there was an arrest warrant for him.
