The incident began Tuesday afternoon when a reportedly knife-wielding man barricaded himself in his home at Colonial Village, the Hour said. Police blocked off Suncrest Road, evacuated some residents and a SWAT team responded, the Hour said.

But officers found the apartment was empty, The Hour reported.

Police did not say how the suspect was found but said he surrendered at a West Main Street location later Tuesday evening, The Hour said.
