NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man turned himself in to police Sunday in connection with an attempted break-in at a home last month that was all recorded on the homeowner's video system.

Kevin Palma, 21, of Ely Avenue was charged with criminal attempt to commit burglary, third-degree criminal trespass, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

The homeowner went to police after noticing that the home surveillance video had recorded a man walking around the home, trying to open doors and even checking under a doormat for a key, police said.

The man left the scene but not before his vehicle was also captured on video, police said. Police got information on the case after releasing images to the media of the man, said Sgt. Sofia Gulino.

Police obtained a warrant for him and got it last week.

Bond was set at $10,000, and he was given a court date of Oct. 11.
