The robbery took place around 10:30 a.m. at the Corner Variety Store on Westport Avenue. The two men were wearing hoodies and masks when they entered the store, and one of them was brandishing a handgun. They went around the corner and took an undetermined amount of cash, and some cigarettes.
After taking the items, the two men ran out and around the corner to a black Jeep Wrangler that was parked behind the store. They then drove off on Volmer Avenue. The clerk in the store was not injured during the robbery.
