Police responded to the report of a physical altercation at a home on Fairfield Avenue at 11:30 p.m. Officers made contact with the complainant, who said the fight started as a domestic dispute between the complainant and Leroy Blanding.
After the argument became a physical, a juvenile came in the room to help break up the fight, according to police. Blanding began yelling at the juvenile and pushed him to the ground, police said.
The complainant then took a frying pan and hit Blanding on the head to stop him from hurting the juvenile, police said.
The complainant and the juvenile refused medical attention, police said.
Blanding was charged with disorderly conduct and risk of injury to a minor, police said. His bond was set at $15,000 with a court date of Aug. 18, police said.
