Norwalk Man Charged With Shooting Teenager In Abdomen

NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was arrested on Monday, Oct. 26, and charged with shooting  teenager in the abdomen a week earlier, police said. 

Dejuan Wiggins was arrested by Norwalk Police and charged with shooting another man as well as criminal possession of a firearm and a carrying a pistol without a permit.

According to police, the shooting was reported Oct. 19, when officers responded to the area of 176 Main St. As officers were arriving on the scene, they received a report from Norwalk Hospital that a man, Kevin Rosiclair, 18, had walked into the emergency room with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, police said.

Norwalk Detective Fitzmaurice, with the assistance of other members of the Detective Bureau, conducted a detailed investigation. Wiggins was identified as the person responsible for shooting Rosiclair, police said.

On Oct. 26 Wiggins was taken into custody during a traffic stop on Ann Street and charged with first-degree assault, criminal possession of a firearm, and carrying a pistol without a permit. He was held on $250,000 bond.
