Man Dies After Getting Pinned Under Pickup Truck At Norwalk Home

NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man is dead after the pickup truck he was working on fell on him Friday, police said.

The accident at 51 Plattsville Ave. occurred shortly after noon, police said. When officers arrived, they immediately began rendering aid to the man, who was pinned under the vehicle. He was taken to Norwalk Hospital, where he died from his injuries a short time later, police said.

Police were continuing an investigation into the incident. They did not release the man's name or age.

Neighbors who gathered in the area had little to say other than stating they had heard the man was working on his truck — a a Ford F-250 — when the accident occurred.

Plattsville Avenue is a short cul-de-sac that intersects with Broad Street. It is located in an area between the Route 7 connector and Main Street.
