Connecticut State Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a burglary suspect.

On Thursday, July 5, at approximately 9:30 a.m., state troopers responded to Priceless Dental Care P.C. located at 60 Waterbury Rd in Prospect for a reported burglary that had occurred the previous day.

Upon arrival, it was learned that the suspect entered the dental facility on Wednesday, July 4 at approximately 1:30 a.m., and stole a safe that was located in one of the offices. The suspect appeared to have entered and exited the dental facility through the back door.

The stolen safe was reported to have contained several personal and professional items and paperwork along with cash, prescription pads, registration paperwork for seven firearms, historical paperwork showing actual ownership of a slave from the 1800s time period, two Colt Lady Derringer .22 caliber handguns, one bottle of Halcion and one bottle of morphine medication.

Video surveillance showed the suspect wearing a white hoodie sweatshirt and baseball cap at the time of the burglary as he entered the dental office through the back door. A short time later, the suspect was seen exiting the building and a small, four-door vehicle with a sunroof and spoiler on the trunk was seen driving away from the office.

Anyone who thinks they may have any information about the burglary or stolen items, or thinks they may know the suspect identity is asked to call the Prospect Resident State Trooper’s Office at 203-758-6150, Troop I-Bethany at 203-393-4200 or email Trooper Vandeventer at timothy.vandeventer@ct.gov .
