A man who worked for a now-closed South End beauty salon has been charged with credit card fraud after allegedly stealing a card from the business and charging more than $2,000 in goods, said Stamford Police.

Patrick Wilson, 30, of Stamford, turned himself into Stamford Police after a warrant was issued for his arrest, said Sgt. Sean Boeger.

Wilson, a marketing consultant, worked for the salon on Towne Street before it closed in April. During that time he ripped off a business credit card and then used it at least 16 times to charge $2,300 worth of items, Boeger said.

An investigation led detectives to Wilson, who then turned himself into police.

Wilson was charged with 16 counts of illegal use of a credit card, credit card fraud, larceny, and 16 counts of illegal use of a credit card, Boeger said.

Wilson posted a $50,000 court appearance bond and was released.
