Norkin was born on Jan. 20, 1921, in Springfield, Mass. to Abraham and Rebecca Goldring.
She was a longtime Norwalk resident who worked for the Norwalk Public School System, retiring as the Budget Director for the Board of Education in 1981.
Norkin was predeceased by her husband, Irving.
She is survived by her two children; William and his wife Christine of Somers, N.Y., and Carol Ghent and her husband John of Trumbull; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held on Thursday at the Independent Hebrew Society Cemetery, Richards Avenue in Norwalk.
