NORWALK, Conn. – Robert Preston Moore of Norwalk died Saturday, Feb. 6. He was 75.
Moore was born Aug. 12, 1940, in Olean, N.Y., to Dr. Ellis and Catherine Moore. He graduated from the University of Virginia.
After serving in Alaska in the Army during the Vietnam War, he went on to work as a flight instructor in Florida before working as a corporate pilot in White Plains and an airline pilot for Transavia Holland Airlines. He later became director of Westy Self Storage.
Moore was predeceased by his parents and brother Ellis. He is survived by his wife, Cindy; a daughter, Ashley, and her husband, Raymond Delacruz.
Visiting hours are Friday, Feb. 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 E. Wall St., Norwalk, with a memorial service following.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Whittingham Cancer Center at Norwalk Hospital.
