NORWALK, Conn. -- Richard Douglas Campbell, husband of Lee Ellen Campbell and father of Michael and Kathryn Campbell, died suddenly Thursday, Oct. 29.
Born Sept. 15, 1952, in Mineola, N.Y., Campbell was the son of the late J. Kenneth and Dorothea Campbell. He grew up in Garden City and Saltaire, Fire Island, N.Y., and attended Xavier High School in New York City and Emerson College in Boston.
He was a resident of Norwalk and Weston for more than three decades.
In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his brothers and sisters, Carol Campbell of Irvine, Calif., J. Kenneth Campbell of Los Angeles, Barbara Rosenblum of Larchmont, N.Y., Mary Cullen of Lincoln, R.I., Donald Campbell of Tampa, Fla., and Jean Campbell of Encinitas, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 35 Norfield Road, Weston. Interment will be private.
