NORWALK, Conn. -- Phyllis Mary Smith, a longtime resident of Norwalk and New Canaan, died on Sunday, March 27. She was 91.
Smith is survived by her children, Margaret Smith, Helen Alladin, Charles Smith, Elizabeth Smith and Patrice Getachew; sons-in-law Toy Alladin, Trevor Forbes, Getachew Challa and her daughter-in-law Everin Smith; grandchildren Opal Alladin, Renee Alladin, Dimetra Jones, Cindy Watson, Aaron Smith, Sara Getachew, Daniel Getachew, Timothy Smith and Alexandra Forbes; great-grandchildren Christina, Brooke, Blake, Lauren, Aidan, Brandon and Gabriel; siblings Joseph Quinlan and Cecile Massy; and nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Smith; parents Alice and Philip Quinlan; and siblings Elaine Caines and Cornelius Quinlan.
Visiting hours will be from 4-7 p.m.on Thursday, March 31, at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., in Norwalk. A mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Mary's, 669 West Ave., in Norwalk.
