NORWALK, Conn. – Edith Klinghoffer Pellenberg, a resident of Norwalk, died Monday, March 14. She was 87.
She was born March 6, 1929 in New York, N.Y. to the late Aaron and Anna Spivak Klinghoffer. She grew up in the Bronx and was later a Norwalk resident for 55 years. She was employed over 20 years by the Norwalk School system, working with the hearing impaired and as an assistant librarian both there and for the Norwalk Public Library. She also volunteered at the library and hospital in Norwalk and was a dedicated life-member in Hadassah.
She is survived by her sons, Matthew Pellenberg and his wife Claire; Jeffrey Pellengberg and his wife, Edith; her grandchildren, Andrew, Gavin, Ross, and Alexa; along with her sister, Janice Klinghoffer.
She was predeceased by her sister, Molly Klinghoffer Wiener.
A private service was held on March 15 with burial in Beth Israel Cemetery, Norwalk.
