Arturo Bedoya, 75, Of Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. -- Arturo Bedoya, a longtime resident of Norwalk, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 22, after a long illness. He was 75.

Bedoya was born on Dec. 13, 1939, in Antioquia, Abejorral, Colombia, to Juan Pedro Bedoya and Amelia Rosa Bedoya, retiring from Algonquin Parts Corp. in Norwalk as a machinist.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers Bernardo, Marco Tulio, Gabriel and Juan. He is survived by his wife, Margarita Bedoya; his son, Andres Felipe Bedoya; grandson, Andres Felipe Bedoya Jr.; brothers Antonio, Pedro Jose and Luis; sisters Julia, Blanca, Consuelo and Margarita; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Magner Funeral Home at 12 Mott Ave. in Norwalk.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave. in Norwalk.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bedoya's name may be made to the Whittingham Cancer Center or to the Chordoma Foundation.
