State Police Deliver Baby Along Side Of I-95 In Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. — State police delivered a baby on an exit ramp on Interstate 95 south in Norwalk on Thursday morning.

The family was on their way to the hospital but didn't make it. 

State police responded to the area near Exit 16 to help, briefly closing the ramp, as the healthy baby was born. 

According to state police, Troopers Gonzalez, and Ring and a Norwalk officer welcomed the baby as it was delivered by EMS. The baby boy was named Ryan, and he was taken along with his mother to Norwalk Hospital.
