Water technical specialist Rocco Cundari at South Norwalk Electric and Water said he believed the break was reported at 11:30 a.m. Crews were on the scene Tuesday afternoon and repairs were underway. “We should have it repaired this afternoon or evening," Cundari said.

Customers between 3 and 15 Meadow St. are without water until repairs are made, according to the company's website. Other customers may experience temporary loss of water service, low pressure and/or discolored water, SNEW said.

If customers see discolored water coming out of their pipes, Cundari recommends that customers go to the highest point where there is a sink or bathtub in the building and run the water.

The company advises customers to wait until the water is clear before using the hot water, washing machine or dishwasher.
