One person described to the Hour how she came out of a movie Saturday night and returned to her car in the Webster Lot to find one of the flyers on her windshield. Several other cars in the parking lot also had the one-page flyer tucked into the windshield, the Hour reported. Police confirmed to the Hour that someone had contacted them regarding the flyers, and that a report had been filed.

The flyers stated, among other things, that Allah is an extraterrestrial, and that women should not leave their homes unprotected because of the supposed danger that Muslims and immigrants face, the Hour reported. The flyers also called for the banning of all immigrants and their families, according to the Hour.

This is not the first time this year that Norwalk has been plagued by hateful literature. Several residents awoke in February to find that white supremacist flyers had been left in their driveways. Similar flyers were also found in Westport and Wilton.

The most recent flyers drew condemnation from the head of the Council of American-Islamic Relations-Connecticut, who told the Hour that the flyers spread hate and feed on misinformation and ignorance about Islam.
