NORWALK, Conn. — Person-To-Person in Norwalk had a few extra helpers Wednesday as volunteers handed out turkeys and bags stuffed with all the sides to families in need.
Residents were thrilled to meet newly re-elected Mayor Harry Rilling, state Sen. Bob Duff and U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy as they picked up their turkey, stuffing and all the fixings at the Person-To-Person headquarters on South Main Street.
"Stopped by @p2phelps in Norwalk to thank volunteers and help distribute turkeys to families in need this Thanksgiving. Their team does amazing work to help people in Fairfield County," Murphy said via Twitter.
Ceci Maher, executive director of Person-To-Person, was also on hand to thank the volunteers and to help distribute all the Thanksgiving goodies.
Person-To-Person is a community-supported agency that provides emergency assistance for basic needs, and support for individuals and families.
