After a 9 a.m. Mass, more than 175 people gathered in the Masterpool Great Room to enjoy fellowship and food for the body, mind and spirit through a stirring talk from featured guest, the Rev. Father Reggie Norman.

The pastor at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Wilton, Norman talked about the importance of family, opening with his well-known, "If it's good it’s God, if it's bad it’s me." Norman reminded the crowd of the importance of family, both biological and spiritual.

“Families provide individuals with an important support system, not just during childhood but throughout life, and they provide society with a structure for passing along a culture's values from one generation to the next,” Norman said. “Our families should be where we learn, we love, we play and we get support when times are tough. In our families, we are all part of something bigger. In our families we support each other’s dream.”

Grand Knight George Ribellino, whose three-year term ends on July 1, was emotional.

“It was so great to see our council work together as a team to execute another successful event for our parish family. From being together at 9 a.m. mass to enjoying breakfast together and listening to a great public speaker of faith, it’s an event I will never forget,” said Ribellino.

Grand Knight- Elect Scott Criscuolo, who will succeed Ribellino, was equally impressed.

“This was a banner day for our council. The Grand Knight and I want to especially thank committee chairman Ron Miller for putting together the great day,” said Criscuolo.

All proceeds from the breakfast go to the charitable groups helped by Council 14360, such as Malta House, St. Matthew Parish, Homes for the Brave, Notre Dame Convalescent Home, Friends of Fisher House CT and All Saints Catholic School.
