Norwalk Dentist Sends 300 Pounds Of Halloween Candy To U.S. Troops

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Kids First Dentistry &  First Impressions Orthodontics of Fairfield, Norwalk and Monroe has offered a post-Halloween Candy Buy Back program for five years running.

Together, along with the generous in-office donations First Impressions received, 300 pounds of candy were delivered to the USS WASP, stationed overseas.

This year, one of First Impressions' patients heard about its Candy Buy Back to Support Our Troops program and wanted to help. A student at Riverfield School in Fairfield, she sent a letter to classmates which drew an amazing response.

Together, along with the generous in-office donations First Impressions received, 300 pounds of candy were delivered to the USS Wasp, an amphibious assault ship. The 1,200-plus service men and women aboard the ship have been deployed for nearly six months.
