Norwalk Alliance Adds Kids Category For Flowering Tree Photo Contest

NORWALK, Conn. – Young photographers can now enter A Flowering Tree Photo Contest: The Norwalk Tree Alliance has added a category for photographs taken by children 12 years of age and younger.

Prizes for every age group will be awarded at the Connecticut Tree Fair Festival in Cranbury Park on May 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The photos will be displayed at the Gallaher Mansion and terrace in Cranbury Park.

The contest is open to Fairfield County residents. Submissions must be taken in Fairfield County and printed on uncreased 8- by 10-inch photographic-grade paper. Photographs can be in color or black and white and should show a tree in flower.

Submissions must include the location of the tree, the species, and the date the photo was taken as well as the photographer's name, address, email and phone number. Entries are to be submitted to Norwalk City Hall's Customer Service Center, Room 224 by May 11 at 1 p.m. All photographs will become property of the Norwalk Tree Alliance and will not be returned.
