Photography, Sculpture Exhibit Opens In Rowayton

NORWALK, Conn. -- The new exhibit at Rowayton Art Center features the photography and sculpture work of RAC’s exhibiting members and opens Sunday, Sept. 4.

The opening reception is Sunday, Sept. 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. and is free and open to the public. “Ageless Art,” by four artists with combined lifetime experience of over 300 hundred years will be featured in the Portside Gallery. The “Photography and Sculpture” chair is Robert Sachs and the co-chair is Anne Salthouse. 

The judge is award winning commercial photographer, Kevin Robinson. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 12 to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. The next exhibit, “Expressions” will open in October with an open call for artists. 

Special guest State Sen. Bob Duff will be there to present for the first time ever, the “Senator’s Selection” award. Opening reception will be Sunday, Oct. 2 from 4 to 6 p.m. 

Other upcoming events include the following: 

  • Poetry and Art with Norwalk’s Poet Laureate, Laurel Peterson, on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 6:30 p.m. 
  • Craft Beer Tasting Event: Friday, Oct. 7, 7 p.m.
