The city is hosting its fireworks display Wednesday at Calf Pasture Beach beginning at dusk. The rain date is July 5.
And on Thursday, the Rowayton Civic Association will host its fireworks display at Bayley Beach beginning at 9:15 p.m. A rain date was not announced.
Both shows are expected to last about 30 minutes, and for the Norwalk event, area band Billy Genuario & The Destiny will perform before and after the celebration.
Beginning at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Calf Pasture, The Amazing Andy Show will perform for children, and DJ Nuzzo will spin tunes for a dance party.
For the Norwalk fireworks and concert, a parking fee of $20 per car will be charged for vehicles without a Norwalk beach sticker.
At Bayley Beach on Thursday, the RCA will impose a similar $20 per car fee for vehicles without a Bayley Beach sticker, but the parking lot is smaller than Calf Pasture’s, so it is expected to fill up early.
A lottery will be held Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the beach for picnic table access at Bayley Beach for the fireworks. Interested parties must sign up with beach manager Don Wilson during that time.
