Beer Conn Is Coming To Bridgeport's Webster Bank Arena

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Fans of beer are in for a treat: The Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport is welcoming patrons to throw back a few cold ones as part of Beer Conn, the arena’s first-ever beer festival.

Beer Conn on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 2:30 to 4 p.m and 5:30 to 9 p.m. It will showcase more than 50 local, national, and international breweries.

"We have been creating great beer tasting events on the East Coast for nearly 10 years, and now the time is right to expand into the Connecticut market,” said Andy Calimano, owner of Starfish Junction Productions. “We're ready to deliver a great experience to the area beer enthusiasts."

Local brewers are excited too.

“We are looking forward to showcasing some of the world-class beers now being produced in our state and celebrating the support from all the Connecticut beer fans," said Curt Cameron, president of Thomas Hooker Brewing Company and the Connecticut Brewers Guild. 

This event will support The Village, an agency that provides homes for neglected children and works with children as well as families in the Greater Hartford region.

Tickets are $35 each plus taxes and fees when purchased in advance, and $45 plus taxes and fees on event day if the event is not sold out.

Tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster, through Beer-Conn, or by visiting the at the Webster Bank Arena box office.

Tickets include admission to the festival, admission to special beer seminars, a souvenir tasting glass, and the freedom to enjoy a 2-ounce sample of any of the beers present at the event.

Designated driver tickets are also available for $10 each plus taxes and Ticketmaster fees. All attendees, including designated drivers, must be aged 21 or older and present valid photo ID for entry.
