A 1-inch-to-30-foot model of The SoNo Collection is currently on display to the public in the rotunda at Norwalk City Hall. The display also includes renderings of the mall.

If you want to see a less-miniature version of the mall, you’ll have to wait. Construction has not yet started on the project, but officials have said they hope to break ground soon.

Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s will anchor the mall along with 80 to 100 smaller retailers, according to officials.

The mall will also house a 150-room boutique hotel and public realm space. The site is a long vacant 12-acre lot off West Avenue and Interstate 95 near the Maritime Aquarium.

The project's developer is Chicago-based General Growth Properties, Inc., an S&P 500 company focused exclusively on owning, managing, leasing and redeveloping retail properties throughout the United States.
