FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The warm weather Fairfield County residents enjoyed Wednesday are coming to an end, with temperatures expected to drop dramatically Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

And some snow could come with the colder temperatures.

Thursday will be much cooler, with increasing clouds. High temperatures will be in the low 50s.

Temperatures will then drop near freezing Thursday night, which could result in some snowfall before 1 a.m. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

The sun will return Friday, but temperatures will remain in the 40s.
