Norwalk Heats Up Today, But Storms Could Hit Tonight

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- High pressure will bring increasing humidity to Fairfield County on Tuesday, with the possibility of thunderstorms over the next couple days.

Tuesday is expected to be sunny, with a high near 88, according to the National Weather Service. Tuesday night will see a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms, as well as patchy fog after 4 a.m. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy, with a low around 68.

Hot and humid conditions will continue on Wednesday, when the high will be near 87. The day will be partly sunny, with the possibility of showers and thunderstorms increasing during the afternoon. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Wednesday night will see a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 7 a.m. The night will otherwise be mostly cloudy, with a low around 69.

The chance of showers and thunderstorms will continue into Thursday, where the chance of precipitation will be 30 percent, mainly between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The rest of the day is expected to be partly sunny, with temperatures decreasing a bit to a high of 84. Thursday night will see patchy fog after 3 a.m., and mostly cloudy skies with a low around 67.

There is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 10 a.m. on Friday. Otherwise the day will be partly sunny, with a high near 83. Friday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 68, though there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight.
