Mayor Richard Moccia has declared a snow emergency for the City of Norwalk effective at 6 p.m. Tuesday. He was to issue a message using the Notify Norwalk system Tuesday afternoon.
Residents are asked to get their cars off the streets to allow for plowing. Cars parked on emergency snow routes may be ticketed.
The city expects Wednesday's garbage collection to be accomplished. The Norwalk Parking Authority will provide free parking at the Maritime Garage and the Yankee Doodle Garage so residents can move vehicles off the roadways.
