Tidal departures could be around 1 foot above astronomical tides around noon to 3 p.m., the weather service warned. Vulnerable shore roads could flood, as well as basements that are prone to flooding, the advisory said.
Fairfield County has also been advised of possible hazardous weather for the rest of Monday that could include strong winds, heavy rain and a slight risk of severe thunderstorms.
Some minor urban and poor drainage flooding problems could occur Monday afternoon into the evening if rainfall reaches 1/2-inch or more during a short period of time, the weather service said.
