In Norwalk, Storm Begins Rolling In

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — As a warm front moves in Wednesday, heavy rain will begin to fall across Fairfield County.

A Coastal Flood Advisory is in place along Long Island Sound until noon and again from 8 to 11 p.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. Tides of 1 to 2 feet above normal are possible. 

The rain will come down heavy at times, especially in the afternoon and evening, the weather service said. A total of 1 to 2 inches of rain could fall. 

Isolated thunderstorms are possible along gusty winds, up to 40 mph.  

Temperatures will remain above normal, with highs in the mid-60s.

Rain will continue Wednesday night and taper off overnight into Thursday.
