Heat Continues Friday Before Weekend Cool Down In Norwalk

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fairfield County residents will have to put up with one more day of above normal temperatures on Friday before it cools down over the weekend.

Friday is expected to be sunny, with a high of 87, according to the National Weather Service. This is well above normal for this time of the year, but a cold front is expected to move through the Tri-State area Friday afternoon, which may trigger a shower or thunderstorm. The chance of precipitation is 20 percent. 

Friday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 50. High pressure will build in from Canada tonight and settle over the region this weekend, bringing with it cooler and drier conditions. Highs are expected to be a few degrees below normal throughout the weekend.

Saturday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 69. Saturday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 43. A south wind around 6 mph will become calm in the evening.

Sunday will be partly sunny with a high near 65. A calm wind will pick up a little bit, blowing south 5 to 8 mph in the morning. Sunday night will be mostly calm, with a low around 53, followed by some likely showers after 3 a.m. The chance of precipitation will be 60 percent.

Next week will start off wet, with showers likely before 4 p.m. on Monday. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent. It will also be cool, with a high near 68.
