FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Brace for it: Fairfield County could see some small snow accumulation Thursday evening and into early Friday as temperatures fall across the area, according to the National Weather Service .
Rain and snow are expected, with snowfall starting after 1 a.m. Friday. Temperatures will drop overnight into the uppers 20s and low 30s.
Snow accumulation is expected to be less than half an inch, and there is also a slight chance of snow before 9 a.m. Friday according to the weather report. It would be the first snowfall of the season across the area.
On Friday, it will be mostly cloudy, and gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 42. But wind chill values will be 20 to 30 with northwest wind 6 to 10 mph.
Saturday will be sunny, with a high near 38. Sunday will be warmer, in the mid-40s, but mostly cloudy.
There's a chance of another light snowfall Sunday niht.
