Lousfool at first I thought I missed the name but adding to your thought lets play pretend.
If your a Mayor of a big city in Ct invited to a big political party in Stamford and get pulled over going home and mention you know the Mayor of Stamford well there you go.Then you dodge any blame when your chariot was a city car and then get elected to the office of Mayor yes republicans are good at playing the card.
Its election time and where most think I have an agenda the fight at pulse point today shows clearly those three officers in the school may not be enough to comabt crime in Norwalk.
Harry is running on how he cleaned up wahington village any news today showing us all crime had gone back set up shop and was in full swing shows idiots still running the show and idiots running for office.
What would I suggest a more aggressive force to prevent crime than to let it happen for months and in between officer of the month make a big bust,,come on big busts and tons not bags people.
So why not a name? This does sound a bit open to have anyone think its a high profile idiot from Norwalk.Who uses a gun to plow snow with why would anyone admit a gun at all the kids don't why should the adults?
Hope to see a very good update on this Nickerson is gone and Steve is on vacation so yes the Daily has the exclusive. View Comment
looks like Moccia will win another term if this keeps up.How can anyone run for mayor and not disclose what mistakes were made year after year under ones leadership?
bickering and factional infighting = people have had enough get use to it the only way Norwalk will ever run right is break this good ole boys club.

Whats teflon Bobs take on this?Duff's truck route was so brillant.
You have to wonder where the DOT is helping Norwalk with the lights on Water street that flood almost every high tide of 7 feet if they ever complete studies.

Wow and the garage fire last week 100 feet away shows there might be a problem in the area so what! its South Norwalk suck it up and wait for the next shooting.
Was this garage where people were living part of the Mayors program on homeless?
Met a couple who just moved in from 06853 and realized now South Norwalk to retire and enjoy life might of been a mistake.
How sick is that?

Well one of the last meetings Bruce talked about a Vacume Truck as if he knew the history on the DPW vacume trucks.(trust me other out here hate it when we uncover sobering facts)I am not complaining about this last chapter in his book it clearly shows Norwalk is in for a change.Watching the meetings on 12 show how our city works and in some cases how it doesn't and yes Bruce has become a star talking about the past when he was sent there for the here and now. This is so sad I am almost without words. I get it you don't like me its ok I'm comfortable with facts they also work for the other 85,601 who understand.
Your numbers are correct yet when the fire or police come to aid of others who have been robbed or have a medical emergency I am willing to bet our responders don't ask first are you a resident. You still don't get it but its ok your problem is with me not the city thats in trouble.
Pathitic display of common sense is only making this banter senseless.
Yep they took a fully loaded machine gun off the street and the perp got with combined offenses 3 years and with time served he will be out in days not years and you wonder why others discount your postings as crap?Maybe if the case was stronger the kid would of served a longer time behind bars. One of you had him in jail for many years.
It helps if you go back and read your own postings they offer very little in resolve, yet to fix things you have realize or in some cases admit the city needs leadership from any party.
I did notice you never asked why the cars were not safe, constructive solutions come when the problems are brought to the surfice not hidden in city hall where most have said this old boys club needs closing.
keep fishing your still not using the right bait.

Bottom line is if your a perp or a would be law breaker come to Norwalk where under the Moccia law live almost fear free of getting caught. The trend lately has been Bridgeport people are found breaking the law in ways that defy common sense.
Joel Garcia-Cortez, 38, of 110 Deacon St., Bridgeport, Freddy Lopez-Mite, 34, of 110 Deacon St., Bridgeport, Elmer Soyos, 1 Yale St., Norwalk and Briones Valentin, 28, of 110 Deacon St., Bridgeport.
The list grows each week, yes Norwalkers also commit crime yet if you live in Bridgeport and want to sell drugs or break a law come to Norwalk where time has froze for aggressive police work due to lack of manpower or leadership.
Officers tonight are without safe cars to drive, yet this storm was predicted days ago. Those who are quick to defend our Mayor have no clue whats going on most of the time.
How much more time does Moccia need to prepare the city against crime? His ability to run the city now has come under question from his own party a city of 100,000 and no way to properly protect it because of poor planning not money shows Norwalks problems are not always a dollar amount. oh send the message Norwalk is not a destination the city will welcome your money anything left over will go to parking and crime bring a big wad Moccia wants his cut.
This is great other robberies in Norwalk and this is the only one highlighted, keep digging Al your doing great the city needs to know whats going on.
The break ins are growing housebreaks are on the rise attack at the train station and none of the cameras are working according the Hearst whats the real deal in Norwalk?

I argue all the time the NPD doesn't have enough Spanish speaking officers and always met with absurd backwoods comments yet it makes some sense Norwalk has for the schools and the community run into a problems.Guess if I suggest the fire dept now first responders who have less Spanish capabilities the could run classes on thier new boat they spend so much time on it.
This still doesn't enforce the fact its all Spanish but in end by Norwalk ignoring a large problem for years along with others out here not understanding the problem its going to cost more in the end.
Those three new old call em what you like officers for the schools speak Spanish as well? correct?
Norwalk is lost by some of its leadership, they fall short of a full deck when it comes to common sense and dealing with issues on the here and now basis.
Budget time have you heard anything for classes among our finest? Its how Norwalk works this time of year don't ask don't tell don't care.Mayor speak Spanish? we all know his French is great.
Stamford did a matching fund deal a few years back paid their officers think Norwalk would learn from it?(thats why they have someone to come to Norwalk all the time)
Lets ask Rilling what hs take is whats he have to lose sharing some truth.

Your right Tim Many homes and businesses were broken into this week our friends house was broken into and the officer who responded told them he could only take a report any further investigation like prints and pictures was out of the question the NPD was simply too busy.Lets not jump to any thought our officer tried and if this was true we all see busting a hooker at the train station should of been a MTA collar.
Where is page and the other experts on Norwalks street crime? It looks like the machine gun toting thug got life a guppy life.
NORWALK -- A 19-year-old city man was sentenced Wednesday at Norwalk Superior Court to three years in prison after pleading guilty to charges related to the possession of a MAC-11 machine gun.
Ramsey Gomez pleaded guilty to carrying a pistol without a permit, possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, risk of injury to a minor, threatening and violation of probation. He will also serve five years of special parole for the crime. Ramsey had two pending juvenile cases, both of which were nolled. Details of the juvenile cases were undisclosable. He has been in custody since Jan. 18, 2012.
Gomez's co-defendant in the case, 20-year-old Jamie Crespo, pleaded guilty in January to conspiracy to commit possession of a machine gun in relation to the case and was sentenced to five years in prison and five years of special parole. He also pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree assault, violation of a protective
Back to Norwalks problems crime and people who seriously need to learn whats outside thier door.We need more officers crime is rising and this last arrest shows what we all have been saying most of the defenders out here that are OK with how things are going shold do us all a favor and move.
These people who think Norwalk is taking care of crime should read what the Daily did this week, they wrote crime and most of us who thank them for thier effort know next week will be the same,a variety of crime with no preventive way to combat crime before it happens.
1 hooker + some pot = many break ins many victims and the end result is Rilling telling everyone he is proud of his choices.Thank God Norwalk has choices this next election should have more information on victims we already know about the pervs and thugs they get front page victims get nothing not even a decent response from the NPD leaving great officers who first respond wondering about their own department.
Once again great officers who respond the problem is the Mayor he is rewarding his street officers with wall hangers his top officers with overtime money and the city with another hollow promise with the quality of life carrots.
Its ok Tim we find ourselves surrounded by some who would rather write a post telling us we are wrong and how hard our elected officials are working on controlling the crime we talk about read about and see daily. We can at least agree the idiots who defend Moccia voted for him and there is nothing we can do they are educated great Norwalkers but simply lost when it comes to whats going on in Norwalk.

Tuesday, Colarossi and Haynie butted heads for the second consecutive meeting when Haynie wanted comments she had made read into the minutes. Colarossi said that would violate the board's new minutes policy, which states minutes are a summarization of the meeting, and that Haynie should be lobbying for a stenographer if she wants a verbatim transcript.
Aside from criticism from Colarossi, who has been the most vocal board member in opposition to Haynie, criticism from the teachers' union started in December and has carried over into the New Year.

Won't do line for line but one quick question, how much has Norwalk spent chasing contamination down West Ave from the private site and how much has the city spent in traffic lights and brick to make 95/7 so nice for the developer and not the taxpayer?
The bridge Norwalk built took three tries before the state accepted the Water st RR bridge, who paid the extra for that?Where were the people in charge including Duff Perone and Morris they did show up to shovel some BS with Dick and then waited almost a year to use the rd,its what elections do for our politicians not what they do for us.
we may make money on the land but we as a city also spend that and then some back maintaing an empty lot.Now we have destruction and people living in Oyster Shell park another wasted dollar in the name of progress.
We see what zoning has done to our city in some cases the damage will never be fixed, thats progress?

whos on first? The name was published on Topix how did it get there?
Do those boats have an excise to them and is Norwalk the one who gets any money from that? View Comment
How are these numbers going to help Norwalks solve crime, this morning at 11 am stabbing in South Norwalk shows guns are not the only weapon of choice.I like most wnat some control gun control is no ggod without NUT control folks. View Comment
Norwalks stabbing today seems more of a priority in Norwalk than some of your sensless posts. When will you talk about the crime in Norwalk Bruce? You have such a following. View Comment
Great letter a shame some of us doubt how genuine you are sitting on a council where most of the problems in the city are not school related.
Have you thought about the waste the city continues to generate in all other departments daily?
Thanks for the lesson in Norwalk politics still not sure your familiar with Norwalks taxpayers concerns.
Seems some folks are having trouble adjusting to the new non-adversarial relationship between the BOE and the City
This simply says a lot about you as a council member and your predictions for the future.
