Will Ouiji Board Vodka be next?
While multiple distillations undoubtedly improve quality, I am not entirely convinced that diamond (Herkimer or otherwise) filtration results in any qualitative improvement. In terms of psychic energy, crystals have long been thought to posses paranormal energy. Thus, it is this aspect of his marketing pitch that is most intriguing. Of course, the biker crowd should gravitate to the skull packaging -- adding another angle to his demographic targeting. Good luck Mr. A! View Comment
Health is more valuable than all the wealth in hedge fund heaven and/or hades, the bull corrales of Wall Street, and all the world's most grandiose art collections (Cohen's notwithstanding) combined. Keep the faith Fred ... and be well. We need more examples like Pope Francis to propagate compassion and humility, not to mention civility.
Best wishes,
Harry

I am not a proponent of the NRA nor do I have any interest in guns. I do not think making gun ownership illegal or requiring a background check will safeguard sane society from the insane. As is the case with drug enforcement, making guns contraban will not effectively preclude access to lethal weapons by those committed to committing heinous acts. The social experiment we are all a part of will always have uncontrolled variables, including chronic and/or sudden-onset mental aberration. Minors. like Lanza, should be assiduously monitored and taught by parents to respect the sanctity of humanity and all life. If that had been done, Lanza could have owned an arsenal without endangering anyone. View Comment
As an acquaintance of Werner I admired both his knowledge and gracious manner. He was a genuine gentleman without pretense. I extend my sincerest condolences to the Pfister family and, in particular, to his brother with whom I was also acquainted. Best wishes to all. -- Harry Dill View Comment
Nice concept to generate funding, however, the tie should have clearly communicated Greenwich PD versus such a generic design. It is like celebrating Starbucks with a generic cup of coffee versus incorporating the Starbucks label in the design, or a sailboat to communicate IHYC without burgee. It makes little sense as depicted.

For the most part, such financial achievement is praiseworthy. As we know greed has a way of insidiously corrupting scruples to wit Madoff and his kindred flock of scoundrels. Thus, it is with reservation that we should "boast" about our wealth manager population. Do you suppose any of these achievers would consider forming a benevolent consortium wherein they assist others interested in pursuing entrepreneurial dreams and/or humanitarian endeavors? Such an initiative would certainly underscore their character and generosity. View Comment
Recognize that our "Habitat For Humanity" must be shared with its indigenous flora and fauna "residents." Man may be at the top of the food-chain, but he is becoming increasingly disrespectful of all life forms, including human-beings. Man is unconscionably raping every vestige of sanctity by warfare and unbridled atavistic greed and imperious aggression to expand his dominion. Soon it will extend to other planets with unforeseen consequences. Respect, moreover mutual respect is the only way to preserve and advance civility. As a civilization, we cannot afford to do otherwise. View Comment
While it may be a reasonable rationalization to sanction hunting to keep populations in check, it is flawed. Humans have encroached on the natural habitat and should therefore be willing to pay the price by exercising caution during the mating season. To do otherwise imperils both human and animal life. Slow down and be vigilant, particularly at night. View Comment
Traffic congestion merits (on the Merritt and elsewhere) top priority. Consider a regional transportation plan to complement long overdue Bridgeport redevelopment. Metro Rail is inadequate in terms of providing Gold Coast regional service. An "atypical" monorail running down the center of 95 could provide a viable solution. However, it must a component of a large-scale regional land-use/transportation model. Bridgeport could become a vital urban hub that could eclipse Stamford and decrease dependancy on NY-bound Metro Rail commutes. I have mentioned this prospect to Scott Frantz and he agrees wholeheartedly. View Comment
I don't think we have much to worry about aside from some heavy rainfall. Frankenstorm has decided to make a sharp left turn south of New York and CT before heading west. No big deal. As the Boy Scouts implore -- "be prepared" may still be judicious just in case Sandy suddenly decides to take a different path. View Comment
Beautiful estate ideally suited for country club redevelopment. The trouble with BC properties is that heliports are prohibited. Tamar, my MDD NOTAR must have a place to land! Can you convince Peter or Dave to grant a conditional use permit and/or variance? View Comment
