It was the Norwalk Police who responded, quickly gathered information and alerted neighboring Police agencies to the description of the suspect vehicle. The State Police and other agencies worked together to solve this crime of violence. No agency can succeed on its own without help, whether from citizens or other agencies. The State PD didn't know who to stop without Norwalk PD giving them the information. View Comment
There would have been a report about the break ins except for the fact that they have not happened. The Norwalk PD has been patrolling the areas affected by the storm and has placed extra officers into those areas to deter the crime and protect what is left of the property. View Comment
I concur with you Iwitherspoon. The complainers will continue, no matter what the facts are. It's a case of damned if you do, damned if you don't. The Norwalk Police Department is an excellent police department. The fact that it can work hand in hand with the state and federal law enforcement officers to arrest criminals is a credit to Chief Kulhawik and former Chief Rilling. The complainers will never see the light. View Comment
Do you think the U.S. Marshals were acting on their own? They work with the Norwalk Police day in, day out. Fighting crime is a team effort. The NPD can do without your snide, ignorant comments. View Comment
1) I wish Tim T was banned from using this site as his blog.
2) The resident of Flax Hill Road was working with the police. It is up the citizens to report crimes when they see them. The police respond and take appropriate action. Solving crime is a joint effort involving the police and citizens. The resident should be commended as well as the responding officers for investigating and charging the career criminal appropriately. View Comment
Why can't a sidewalk be built on the same side as Marvin School, on the school (city) property on the side of the stone wall opposite the roadway? Continue down at the edge of Taylor Farm? The area just north of the school may require a little more time, work and money. View Comment
Watching the video, the inattentiveness and lack of concern of the three employees, you could have robbed the whole store before anyone did anything. Why was the thief allowed to hold and carry the puppy so close to the door. I'm not approving of the theft, but the store owner & employees should be more concerned and realistic about the possibility of theft and they shouldn't be so lack. Kohl's does a better job at protecting clothes. View Comment
I don't recall any children, adults or bicycle riders being involved in motor vehicle accidents on Beach Road in the last 25 years. Chief Rilling is correct. Ample police presence and ticketing has slowed the traffic. Bike riders share the road everywhere and also have to abide by laws. They share the roads everywhere else in Norwalk and I see no problem with sharing Beach Road just the way it is. View Comment
It's always "Oh, the poor children!" Woe is me. How about the poor taxpayer? Give us a break. Mr. Mayor and the Common Council should hold the BOE accountable. We can't afford to keep spending money, taxpayers' money, because the BOE can't add 1+1. Send them back to school for basic accounting. View Comment
