I think that Washington village should be knocked down and sold to one of the marinas . It's prime real estate . The whole public housing issue really frustrates me .I work very hard and then visit a friend in public housing and it's nicer than were I live . They pay half what I pay . People that make more money should live in nicer places not the other way around . I do understand that some of those projects are hell holes , but if you don't want to live there make more money and move out . Norwalk needs a driving range . A driving range would also help oak hills be more profitable . There are plenty of times were I would go hit a bucket of balls . I don't always have time to play a round . View Comment

I think Warren should be commended . I think some of you are taking what he said out of context . I'm the same age as Warren I am focused on my first job and not helping others. He is taking time that could be spent making more money or having fun and tiring to make Norwalk better. View Comment

No , I wouldn't . But if my boss doesn't have the money to give me a raise . Agreement or not I don't get the raise . I think my point is . That in the private sector it's a dog eat dog world and it's mainly people in the private sector that will be hit with the cost of the raises . I am in construction and have NOT ever heard of parts of a house getting a CO . It is almost always all or nothing . I dont think stamford should have to pay anything . I see people moving in to houses before co are giving everyday . CO are giving for a reason and it is to make sure the house is safe. She was living in a dangerous situation and should take blame for it . Some houses in that area are big and close together They might have knocked it down so it didnt collapse and endanger the residents living close to the house. I feel bad for what she went thru but I see to many wealthy people living in home under construction or trying to move in too early to homes when they shouldnt View Comment

I think the NPD does a good job . But I think tax payers get mad when they hear about a shooting in there town . But I think it makes people more mad the day after the shooting I hear about a friend in his 50's driving a 80k suv for making what they called a rolling stop at a stop sign. This is what he said to me I pay 10k in tax for my house another 2k for my cars . And Im beating stopped and ticketed while their are people shooting each other in south norwalk . and I think he is right . I have heard the same comment about the "real world" when talking about this issue with friends . I think norwalk is mainly composed of Blue collar hard working people . I am in construction and in heat waves . I watch come down from attic and throw up due to being exposed to 105 degree temps. those same people have crappy or no heath care . have to take side jobs in their field to afford to live in norwalk and pay the high taxes . THAT IS THE REAL WORLD . Now teachers who most of them make more than the avg norwalker to feel bad and pay more money? I leave my house at 7am and don't return till 8 most night due to having a 9 to 5 and side work to survive. my company didnt due well this year so I didnt get a raise . I had to due small side jobs on nights and weekends to make up the difference. Now Im suppose to feel bad for a teacher not getting a raise after a 12 hour day when the heat index is over 100. when their day is 8-4 or 7-3 , o wait they are not working they have the next 2 months off and still get paid more money then me . I respect teacher and dont think they have an easy job , But I live in the real world . View Comment
