I went and looked at US NEWS High School rankings and No Norwalk school is ranked.I went to the rankings where I was raised and the school is still nationally ranked: Total Minority Enrollment (% of total) 97%, and Total Economically Disadvantaged (% of total) 70%. If there is a toll on Exit 14 South on I95 that means the back up will be up to Westport. Rt.1 and Merrit will become the major roads for those who do not want to pay a toll. So if you live in any of these area by Rt1 and Merrit traffic will rise by 100% if a toll happens. You want tolls then have 1 toll and that is coming into the state and $5.00 fee for all cars and for $5.00 first axel and $2.00 extra per axel. All this at the welcome to Ct entrance. View Comment

To your remark about where Mr. Mc Carthy lives and city carting. The 6th tax district has been not getting city picking up its trash since the late 70's. The reason was they voted to leave Norwalk at a time where they where 5% of population and 15% of revenue.(I might be mistaking with the 15%) So to keep them part of the city City Hall thats right city hall said will give you a the money to run your own trash pick up and other means to run your district. So Please stay on topic about the BofE and why are taxes are going up due to bad MANAGEMENT BY THE BofE 3 years ago. I moved here 15 years ago and my taxes have gone up over 150% percent since then. All for the teachers,city workers and their union. Which are still crying for more money to improve the education system while local area schools pay less in property taxes and have a better school system than we do. WHY??? View Comment

Then if they would have moved Washington Village to Webster parking lot the city would have sold the old property. I think the city council should bring into LAW that NO FAMILY MEMBER can buy any property from the city while there family member is serving the city as council,mayor, or even city employee. The question is was the reporter next to these 3 people with her tape recorder or she stepped away and left the recorder on while she was away from her seat or room. If she did step away it's illegal, but if she was standing next to them and was holding the recorder in front of them she has every right to publish the report. Now I find it a conflict of interest having the town counsel being the mayor's lawyer. He should resign as city counsel. Norwalk should look for a firm that has NO DOING WITH THE COUNSEL OR CITY HALL. What is need if the child is not doing his homework then have the parents come in in the morning and have them miss work. Once one does this a fire is lit that I missed work because you are not doing your work at school .If the child continues not to do its work then the child should be left back. . View Comment
