NORWALK, Conn. — Traffic was jammed for 6 miles after a three-vehicle crash on I-95 in Norwalk on Wednesday morning just after rush hour, according to the Department of Transportation.
The crash occurred just after 9 a.m. on I-95 southbound between Exits 17 and 16 approaching Route 7, DOT said.
The right and center lanes are closed in the area, DOT said, and emergency responders are on the scene.
The backup is 6 miles long back to Exit 19, DOT said.
It was not known when the accident scene would be cleared.
