Each week, Herman Walker leads clients of his Give It Up Fitness studio at 110 Post Road East in Darien and Intensity in Norwalk in workouts that strengthen, reshape, and beautify their muscles.
On Sunday, March 6, everyone will have the chance to experience Walkers ultra-motivating personality and challenging, body-changing fitness program. Walker will lead a two-hour master class at SpinOdyssey 2011, the fun and fitness fund-raiser for American Cancer Society breast cancer research. SpinOdyssey takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Intensity, 490 Westport Ave.
From 9 to 11 a.m., Walker will lead participants through his trademark PowerGroove kickboxing class.
Described as a master motivator and exercise innovator, Walker has created and developed his own high-end fitness programs that have inspired people to make positive changes and to rediscover their best body. His sold-out master classes have attracted a devoted following of clients throughout the tri-state area who gladly wait in long lines for the chance to experience his workouts. This led him to launch a series of fitness DVDs: Give It Up! and Give It Up! Airborne, which uses a trampoline for unique, effective fitness moves.
Now in its 12th year, SpinOdyssey has raised $2.5 million for breast cancer research and breast cancer patient and family support services. In 2010 alone, the event raised more than $400,000 and fully-funded three breast cancer researchers
