Stadium-Bound Yankee Fans Relish Opening Day

Yankee fans arrived at South Norwalk's Metro-North station Thursday morning to catch the train to New York for baseball's Opening Day. Anthony Armstrong of Norwalk, who has been to "a bunch" of Yankees Opening Day games, was taking Lindsey Bates of Westport to her first one.

"I wish the weather were a little better, but we'll have fun," Bates said. Armstrong had a large umbrella in hand. The game-time forecast at Yankee Stadium calls for showers that may change over to snow.

Despite being a diehard fan, Armstrong was hesitant to make any bold predictions for the 27-time World Series champions in 2011.

"I'm not too sure this year," Armstrong said. "It's early though. We'll see."
