Rowers, Parents From Norwalk Club Run Race In New Haven

NORWALK, Conn. -- Girls and parents from Norwalk's Connecticut Boat Club traded their oars for running shoes on Monday as they ran in the Stratton Faxon New Haven Road Race.

The annual tradition to kick off the fall racing season saw about 25 girls and several parents run in the 5-kilometer or 20-kilometer race.

CBC, one of the top all-girls rowing programs in the nation, is coached by Liz Trond. The team won a silver medal at the USRowing Youth Nationals in June in the Women's 8+.
