Norwalk's Silas Redd scored his first NFL touchdown Sunday for the Washington Redskins in a win over Jacksonville.

Redd, a rookie out of USC, scored on a 14-yard run in the fourth quarter to close out the scoring. He also rushed eight times for 41 yards in the game.

On the touchdown run, Redd made a nice cutback and outran the Jacksonville defenders to the end zone. Watch a video of the touchdown run by clicking here.

Redd made the team as an undrafted free agent. Coach Jay Gruden said Redd can boast all three skills for a running back: running, blocking and pass catching after he made the team.

"His consistency was pretty good for a rookie," Gruden said when Redd made the team. "Hats off to Silas Redd coming in as an undrafted free agent and taking advantage of his reps and winning the job right now."

Redd played in high school for King in Stamford. His former high school teammate, Kevin Pierre-Louis, is a rookie with the Seattle Seahawks.
