The Norwalk Ramblers finished a perfect season by defeating the Southern Dutchess Patriots, 26-6, to take the Candlewood Valley Football League Championship. The Ramblers finished 9-0 in the 79ers division for second- and third-grade players.
Mike DiIorio, Kirk Gordon and Joe SantaLucia coached the team. The Ramblers are the first Norwalk team to go 9-0 since Norwalk Youth Football converted from Pop Warner to American Youth Football, which is the governing body for the Candlewood Valley Youth Football & Cheer League. The team also includes players from Stamford and Wilton.
