Norwalk's Zeus Swimmers Earn State Honors

NORWALK, Conn. – Several members of the Norwalk-based Zeus swimming team have been honored as Connecticut Top 16 swimmers. The list was compiled by Connecticut swimming based on meets during the 2010-2011 short-course season and 2011 long-course season.

The swimmers were chosen in the following age groups: 10/U, 11/12, 13/14, 15/16, 17/18 and Senior. 

Norwalk swimmers who earned Top 16 status included: Lindsay Dell'Isola (12), Anthony Dell'Isola (14), Eddie Donovan (14), Katie Wargo (14), Lauren Czulewicz (15), Stephanie Czulewicz (16), Nick Wargo (15), Brian Cardona (14), Olivia Haskell (14), Paige Delago (14), Liam Colleran (10), Jillian Carter (18), Meredith Pramer (18), Andres Ramos (16), Alejandro Ramos (14), Rachel Smolensky (18) and Olivia Fasset (12). Carter and Pramer earned the added honor of being named CT State Scholar Athletes. 

The team is coached by Omar Cruz and Dennis Flores and includes 120 swimmers ages 5-18. Zeus swims out of the Norwalk High School natatorium and the Norwalk YMCA. It has earned many honors over the years, including Girls Age Group State Champions, CT State Coach of the Year and a No. 8 overall state ranking.
