The Norwalk Junior Soccer Association Stingrays U13 girls travel team defeated New Canaan, 4-1, in a recent game.
Forward Maeve Flaherty scored the first of her two goals assisted by stopper Vanessa DeFederico, and the second assisted by midfielder Laura Somma, both in breakaway fashion.
Center midfielder Natalie LaBella scored next on a 25-yard shot assisted by midfielder Phoebe Harris. Forward Olivia Rosado scored the final goal on a breakaway from midfield.
Defenders Kristin Burnham, Mackenzie Lea, Cecily Stearns and Rachael Swenson kept the game in check. Keepers Christina VanDeventer and Arianna D'Agostino played a strong game. Paulina Mandujano, Arianna Marrotta, Esha Sharma, Elvira Theodoridis and Kristen Williams all played well for the 'Rays.
