Norwalk Senior Surpasses 1,000-Point Plateau At King

NORWALK, Conn. -- Trey Canevari, a Norwalk resident and senior at King School in Stamford, surpassed 1,000 career points and concluded his basketball career as one of the top scorers in school history.

Canevari eclipsed the 1,000-point milestone with a 15-point effort in a 66-41 win over Forman. He concluded his career with 1,022 points after the Vikings fell to Greens Farms Academy of Westport, 74-43, in the Fairchester Athletic Association quarterfinals.

Canevari will play basketball at Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania. He is three-sport captain at King, where he also played football and will be on the school’s baseball team this spring.

Only eight other basketball players have surpassed 1,000 career points at King. Norwalk's Drew Sawyer was the last to accomplish the feat. He graduated in 2012.
